Better than I remember but feels a lot like a first glance at Johnny rather than actually going into his character. Which is exactly what it was, but the point still stands.

The instruments used lose a bit if the punch from the original, mainly in the drums. It is also structured a bit differently.
Evolution
A lot worse flow than the original.
Emotion
Most of it is gone, as it mainly came from the guitar before. But that is much quieter and the vocals don't exactly make up for it.
Bangerness
Lost a large chunk due to the restructuring, vocals, and different instruments
Characterization
Loses a good bit due to the lyrics.
Lyrics
They actually fit him somewhat well. I think they do fall into the common trap of thinking he is just a generic "gambler who likes women" personality, but it fits him at a very base level.
