Perfection Can't Please Me is likely the most widely disliked song on Strive's soundtrack. While I can generally see where these people are coming from, I also think they just haven't given it a fair shot? And I don't mean just hearing the song. I mean LISTENING to it. Understanding the lyrics. What it means.
[As an in-game battle song though I will concede that it kind of sucks though. But I don't rank based on that.]
Melody
I will probably mention this other places but I LOVE when piano is mixed in with guitars and drums. This song has a much larger amount of piano compared to the other two. Maybe a bit too much.
Evolution
Evolves in a good way.
Emotion
A good amount. Mostly at the end, but some throughout.
Bangerness
The chorus is a banger, the rest only somewhat.
Characterization
A good followup to Juno that demonstrates Jack-O's attitude towards life as of Strive.
Lyrics
A lot of people don't like them because at first they seem a bit all over the place. But I think after trying to understand them they are quite good.
