I like this song. I never see anyone mention it. It is good.
Melody
Not bad, but not exceptional. A bit all over the place.
Evolution
I quite like it. The ending is a great evolution of the rest of the song's feeling. Also it somehow fits in the full title, which is surprising.
Emotion
The ending has a good amount of emotion. And by ending I mean pretty much the entire last full minute or so
Bangerness
A good amount. Mainly the ending. The beginning part (first ~50 seconds)... isn't one. But the rest is good.
Characterization
A lot less... dangerous feeling then Testament's other songs? If that makes sense? Which is a perfect reflection of their growth since XX. They have gone from secluded in a forest, hating themself for what they had become, to loving life and living it to the fullest.
Lyrics
Genius. The use of both he and she between each verse is much more distinct then just they (as Testament is non-binary). Though I do wonder what Testament's opinion is on it themself? Do they use Any/All pronouns? He/She? Prefer They/Them? My interpretation is that they use they/them, and the changing pronouns in the song reflect their constantly changing feeling of self as they go through life (something I often feel).
