Such a good track. I've heard this sentiment elsewhere, but parts of this remind me of Xrd vocal tracks for some reason.
Even after hearing Carpe Diem hundreds of times while researching the leaked source code, there never came a time where I got tired of it. If that isn't a testament to its quality, I don't know what is.
And yes, people initially called it "Burn the Ground" which is why the url says that. I'm not really sure why since the lyrics are pretty clearly "pound the ground" to me.
Melody
Really good, especially during the chorus.
Evolution
A nice build up in the intro, and then great evolution in the ending.
Emotion
Decent throughout, with a massive spike at the end during the Carpe Diem section and the very end's "change what doesn't change."
Bangerness
High throughout, especially the chorus and vocalless part.
Characterization
The lyrics work really well, and the vibe of the entire song fits Unika really well. Also really cool to hear Awe of She come back.
Lyrics
The lyrics aren't officially out yet but what can be discerned is really good. Pretty much all of it is great and fits Unika's journey perfectly.
